S'ayapo Urban Outreach, Inc. aims to provide disadvantaged teens with an empowerment and social perspectives course set in the mountains of Western Montana, where enriching outdoor experiences abound. Leaving behind the confining, complicated world of the major American city, one fraught with social and economic barriers, participants are welcomed to the natural beauty and freedom of the Montana wilderness by S'ayapo- an organization of young adults ready to share their wealth of love, energy and sense of social responsibility. Free from judgment, participants will begin redefining their potential with a more cogent voice.

S'ayapo Urban Outreach, Inc works to foster achievement and social awareness in disadvantaged urban youth nationwide. Within 5 years, we will be working directly with 3-5 urban school districts, establishing the network that is S'ayapo. Building our facilities, curriculum, and commitment through partnerships, Camp S'ayapo will multiply its capacity, welcoming more than a hundred urban teenagers to Montana each summer. Aligning with network and capacity expansion, S'ayapo will extend its diverse, skilled staff and establish a college scholarship program for S'ayapo alumnus. As we work to build organizational resources, our focus will remain on developing and revealing individual resources within disadvantaged, urban youth.
